My biggest fan

Friday! This week has been flying by, i feel like it should only be wednesday for some reason (probably because this week has been crazy busy) but i'll take friday over wednesday any day.

This weekend is also jammed packed but i'm looking forward to it. I just really hope the weather holds out for tomorrow morning. I've been watching the weather closely all week hoping and praying that it was too early to tell and that the forcasters were wrong. So far they are sticking to cool, insanely windy and rainy for saturday... this is not good considering i'm shooting a wedding in the morning. It's still only Friday afternoon so who knows, it might change, positive thinking right?
I'm sure it will all turn out fabulous, rain or shine.

Last weekend i head out with Christine for a quick tour around the Hockely area. Christine is literally my biggest fan as well as one of my biggest supporters. She also LOVES to be photographed and makes a fantastic model, don't ya think?
I've photographed Christine plenty of times, editorial shoots, her engagement pics, her trash the dress pics and everytime i'm always amazed at how incredibly stunning she is.

Don't you think she looks a bit like Drew Barrymore and Blake Lively? ...but even more beautiful.

Thanks mama coulter for the braid.

Christine and i went and got tattoos together this past winter (my first) and i think hers is displayed nicely in this shot. It's a Zibu symbol of friendship, Zibu is an Angelic healing language of symbols, a visual image of energy. I just love the meaning and how elegant they turned out.

I figured out how to make the images on my blog larger, which is great but i also realized that my camera and lenses are in desperate need of a cleaning... especially after looking at the spots below. But regardless of the spots i love the way these turned out, thanks for looking so fierce Christine ;)

Happy Friday...

Frolicking

As much as i have a hard time with mondays, since i always seem to be exhausted as opposed to well rested from the wkd, i always love starting a fresh new week.

Starting something new, anything really, always holds a bit of excitment and anticipation of what's to come. The possibilities of what your week will consist of; who you will see, what you will accomplish, where you will go, what you will learn. A blank canvas awaiting an image, a story, created by your experiences and the people you encounter. That being said, thank god this monday is coming to an end, i'm exhausted!

This past weekend was a busy one, but it was loads of fun and I was able to accomplish ample more than i had originally planned. I'm super thrilled about it really, nothing better than getting stuff done.

These are some photos i took of Kelly on Friday, it was a caesar fueled shoot. Well, Kelly was fueled by ceasars, i indulged after the shoot. I had been wanting to snap some of Kelly since i first had the pleasure of doing so in the fall when her family hired me. We had made plans together already and it was a beauty day so we agreed it was the perfect opportunity for caesars and photos.

We headed out with no specific locale in mind. That's what i love about living in my area, there are endless open fields and rustic terrain that make for the most divine backdrops. We came across a couple scenes that i just couldn't pass up, especially with the awesome light that was streaming down from the early setting sun.

Kelly has such incredible eyes, it's the shape and the piercing colour that have some sort of sultry effect. These eyes are just asking for trouble.

I think i got her to strip down numerous times in my car in order to change into what i was wearing or throw on a different outfit. I would assume the cars driving by had quite the show.

Frolicking...

I didn't realize this field was more a marsh then just dried up straw, we both had soakers after this shot, nothing like flats full of muddy water.

Dirty feet . The result of frolicking around barefoot :)

Lovely lil saturday

I spent last saturday afternoon downtown Toronto with my girlfriend Andrea. We shopped, we lunched, we talked, we people watched and i snapped some shots of her. It was a lovely lil saturday.

I think of it as such a treat when i get to photograph my friends. It's really a huge blessing to be surrounded by such incredible girlfriends. It's wonderful to make new friends and expose yourself to different circles, but the core and foundation of who you are and have become lie in the ones you have chosen to surround yourself with continually.

Andrea is one of my oldest and greatest friends, she has had and always will have a huge impact on my decisions and opinions. She's one of those people you can always count on no matter what. She's dependable, incredibly sweet, consistent, level headed and composed. We've gone through so much together, i consider her more like a sister than a friend. In the past few years i've come to realize how invaluable my girlfriends are and how each individual relationship i have with them play such an immense role in my life.

She isn't always as comfortable as some of my other friends in front of the lens but she still makes a fabulous model.
Loving the spring colours.

I really like the way this one turned out, mostly because of the way she's smiling, it's such a genuinely happy smile.

We stopped for lunch on a patio and we decided to order these massive burgers and sweet potatoe fries (my fav). I've been on a cleanse/detox for a couple weeks and decided it was time to indulge.

Yup... i ate the whole thing.

Thanks for a lovely day doll.
