Amy & Eric {Type 'A' Wedding}

It’s slowly starting to cool down outside. Yesterday really felt like a fall overcast day. I’m hoping we can squeeze some more beauty weather out of the next few weeks though.
A few more pool/beach days, a couple more sunburns, some patio dins/drinks and I might be able to say goodbye to summer for another year.

Well maybe... It does help that fall is just around the corner to ease the pain of summer's farewell. It really is the most beautiful season and I can’t wait for the upcoming sessions I have lined up.
But I don’t want to get ahead of myself just yet… especially since I’m still busy editing summer shoots.

Back in June I had the pleasure of being a part of Amy and Eric's wedding. I did their engagement session last year and had a blast so I was excited to capture them on their special day.

Everything was perfect and everyone was on time, it really could not have gone any smoother. This is what happens when two 'Type A' personalities get married.
I sometimes wish i could be as organized and on top of everything as these two. Life would run a little more fluid, steady and sleek, just like their lovely wedding.

The Golden Girls {true love}

A beautiful four story home surrounded by luxurious pools and waterfalls, decorated with exotic trees and luscious plants. Immaculate weather year round and not a worry to be had other than deciding on what to wear to dinner with my favorite ladies; the golden girls.

This is our future plan... Eventually, after the four of us are all married or not, widowed or divorced, with or without kids/grandkids, we plan on living a fabulous life together in Florida (or somewhere breathtaking).

These ladies are family. Sure i have an amazing family that i love and nothing will replace them, but the golden girls are my chosen family. I really don't think anything will ever come close to what we have together... it really is true love.

We were able to spend a couple of weeks together earlier this summer. Half of us live across the world and it's not a regular occurrence to be all together at once so we decided to capture it. We hired a friend of mine Darryl schipper (a fellow photographer) http://www.darrylschipper.com/ to take some shots of us.

These are a few from the session.

Jessica and {Baby McKenzie}

Brilliant sunlight beaming down from a vivid blue cloudless sky. Warm poolside breeze tickling dewy sunkissed skin. Luscious beachy locks tousled and windblown. Polished colourful toes... Is it really August already?!

I feel like i just started to enjoy all these superb summer delights, I'm not ready for it to end yet. Especially this summer, it's been absolutely incredible so far. I feel like I've accomplished and experienced heaps of things already. But i'm pretty stoked about the possibilities that lie ahead this month, and the best part is not knowing...

Speaking of what's to come in the near future...

These are some shots from my maternity session with the lovely Jessica. She is a tall, gorgeous, natural beauty and i just couldn't wait to capture her looking so fabulously pregnant!

Jess is due at the end of this month and i just can't get over how fantastic she looks! I really can't wait to capture the little one when he or she makes their debut!

What a trooper she is for getting in this tree! I really didn't think she'd be game when i suggested it, but she was all for it!
