Hello Summer!

I'm so glad i was able to kick start this summer with a little holiday. Despite falling sick upon my return i've managed to feel more relaxed and refreshed.

Saturday i shot a fantastic wedding and it turned out to be a gorgie day even with the steamy temps! I'm super excited to start working on them and should be posting pics in the next few weeks. But for now here are some shots i took on my holiday.

There is really nothing better than taking a little holiday away with your bestest girlfriend. Leanne has been my friend for over 23 years, ever since the day she knocked on my door just after i moved across the road from her. "Is that girl here?" she said to my mom. Those 4 words have lead to an amazing friendship that i am so grateful for.

Leanne is incredibly unique, she's never been one to follow the crowd or agree for the sake or agreeing. She has such amazing style, taste and class that come so naturaly to her. I've never met anyone who knows more what she likes and wants. She truly is a powerful, strong, smart, gorgeous woman. I know that i would probably be a much different person if she wasn't in my life. I am so thankful that she is and has been such a big influence on me.

We started our trip in Ottawa and i snapped a couple pics while touring parliament hill.

There were endless photo ops everywhere, i could have spent the entire week taking pics there but i had to fit in the eating, drinking and shopping part of my holiday.

My cousin Helene was with us so i had her sit with leelee for some shots at a cute cafe in the park.

We bought some wigs along the way... Doesn't she look fantastic as a blonde!

Mini post

I'm back!

I had planned on posting this week or even while i was away but unfortunately didn't have the opportunity. Silly me to even think that i would have the time to post while i was on holidays... that week just flew by! I had such an amazing time away and can't wait to post the pics from the week!

Unfortunately i came home to a funeral (R.I.P aunt Kay) and i've been ill with strep throat the last few days, pretty much comatose in bed. But i'm feeling better and i'm back to work trying to edit as fast as i can before my busy wkd ahead. I'm shooting a wedding on Saturday and i'm super excited! They are calling for some crazy hot, humid weather so it's going to be a pretty steamy shoot, and i'm praying for no rain!

I thought i'd do a mini post for now since i won't be able to do a full post until next week. I have a lot to share, i'm just playing catch up!

I'm officially on holidays this week and i couldn't be happier!

I'm heading off to Ottawa, Montreal and Quebec city with my very best girl in just a few hours. I'll be doing some shooting along the way but i most likely won't be posting anything until i get back so i'll leave you with a session i had a few weeks ago that i am SO very excited to share with you.

I think this has to be my ultimate favorite shoot so far! It might be because it's my sister... But it's also because it was the most beautiful day; the weather was amazing, the lighting was incredible and the locations were perfect!

My sister got married about two and a half years ago to her wonderful husband Bob and since then they've had a gorgeous baby girl, precious lil Allie.

She had a wonderful wedding and her pictures were great but she wasn't happy with her hair on the day and she definitely wasn't glowing like she is now.

I can honestly say that motherhood has done her wonders! She's never been more relaxed, patient, caring and happy as she is right now and she's also never looked better. I hope to god that motherhood will have the same affect on me as it has on her.

It never really occurred to me until i was editing these picture how absolutely STUNNING she is. It's not just her physical appearance though, it's also her blissful contagious energy. She has this permanent glee about her that really flaunts her jovial appreciation for life. I've really never seen her smile so big and so often and i have to say, it looks great on her.

There are many of these that i absolutely love so i've posted quite a few. Well, maybe more than a few... Enjoy!
