Chase

Don't you just love it when you have a fantastic week. I've had a great week and for no specific reason at all. I've been feeling nothing but positive energy since monday and i think it's all coming from me. It may be the weather and because summer is on it's way. Or it could be the fact that my best friend will be coming home for the month of June (she lives abroad) but i'm just feeling oh so fabulous.

Nothing better than loving life and feeling fab!

This is a shoot i did a couple weeks ago of a lil guy named Chase. I had the pleasure of spending the day with him and his parents documenting his 1 year old birthday.

Isn't he such a ham!

Drooling on his teddy...

Don't you just love his big blues!

Lovely lil saturday

I spent last saturday afternoon downtown Toronto with my girlfriend Andrea. We shopped, we lunched, we talked, we people watched and i snapped some shots of her. It was a lovely lil saturday.

I think of it as such a treat when i get to photograph my friends. It's really a huge blessing to be surrounded by such incredible girlfriends. It's wonderful to make new friends and expose yourself to different circles, but the core and foundation of who you are and have become lie in the ones you have chosen to surround yourself with continually.

Andrea is one of my oldest and greatest friends, she has had and always will have a huge impact on my decisions and opinions. She's one of those people you can always count on no matter what. She's dependable, incredibly sweet, consistent, level headed and composed. We've gone through so much together, i consider her more like a sister than a friend. In the past few years i've come to realize how invaluable my girlfriends are and how each individual relationship i have with them play such an immense role in my life.

She isn't always as comfortable as some of my other friends in front of the lens but she still makes a fabulous model.
Loving the spring colours.

I really like the way this one turned out, mostly because of the way she's smiling, it's such a genuinely happy smile.

We stopped for lunch on a patio and we decided to order these massive burgers and sweet potatoe fries (my fav). I've been on a cleanse/detox for a couple weeks and decided it was time to indulge.

Yup... i ate the whole thing.

Thanks for a lovely day doll.

Little miss alexandra taylor

I haven't quite decided what exactly this blog will consist of yet. I'm thinking mainly photos from various shoots, recent and older. But i think i may also include some personal work and thoughts and opinions on the happenings in my world, professional and personal.

That being said i thought it would be appropriate to start my first post by introducing my favorite model.
I've come across some beautiful, lovely models in the past but this one is by far the most stunning of them all and she happens to be my very own niece. Maybe i'm a little biased, but she sure is darling don't you think?

I don't have children of my own and i'm far from even having any, to be honest i never thought i even wanted any. It's not that i don't adore children, but i just never pictured having my own. Its seems after falling madly in love with my niece i've reconsidered the notion of maybe having some ankle bitters of my own one day. But for now i'm just diggin' being an auntie and a godmother.

So here she is miss Alexandra Taylor

I've been keeping these from my sister, they were my favorite shots from an impromptu shoot we did a couple weeks ago, i wanted to save them for this blog post.

I'm loving the new trend in accessories for babies lately, like the hair bands with big flower embellishments. I've seen some adorable ones on Etsy (have you checked out Etsy? Similar to Ebay but all things are handmade) and i think i'm going to invest in a few for future baby photo sessions, but for now this is my homemade version of one that i made using my own accessories. It's a little bit indian princess-ish, but i like the way it turned out.

Unfortunately Allie was not enjoying this at all. I think it was too tight, it was quickly removed, but i'm happy i was able to snap a couple shots with it on before she turned into the little diva that she can be.

I have a feeling she might be a regular feature on here.

Welcome to sarah dooley photography.

From the moment I got my first “real” camera. I discovered my passion for being behind the lens. I also realized how much I enjoy photographing people.

As a graduate of the Humber College Photography program, I have learned invaluable technical skills. Since then my relaxing persona and attention to detail have allowed me to ignite this passion into a career. With every shoot, I really focus on establishing an atmosphere where my clients feel truly comfortable and at ease with me. That’s when great shots happen.

Yet it wasn't until I began photographing people on a regular basis that I discovered how much I adore recording love; the excitement between a newly engaged couple, the joy amid a bride and groom or the overwhelming love of a mother for her newborn.

These true moments in our lives that are so honest and pure are what I strive to capture. My vision is to freeze these moments into my own unique way and create visually stunning lifelong emotions.
